The trunk can fit two golf bags, but there's no outside trunk hatch release lever however, there's a trunk hatch release button on the key fob. The storage bin under the head unit is two-tier, and its rubber-lined lower level keeps small items from tumbling out during hard cornering. Put two six footers in front and you still have a fistful-and-a-half of kneeroom and legroom. The cabin can fit five average Filipinos comfortably. It's better to place them somewhere between the rev counter and speedometer for the driver's easier reference.ĭespite that quirk, she's accommodating. It's hard to see them because the steering wheel bisects them at an angle. Lastly, the headlight/foglight "on" icons are at the upper rightmost part of the gauge cluster, right above the fuel gauge. It's hard to read what's on the menu screen, especially when the sun is directly above the unit. Also, the menu screen in the upper middle dashboard is small, and so are its fonts. However, the Accord does not have pull down rear side window sunscreens like those on the Camry to increase rear occupants' privacy. In contrast, the Toyota Camry's power-assisted folding sunscreen button is in the lower middle area of the dashboard. For example, the rear windshield has a power-assisted folding sunscreen to keep the sun (and onlookers from behind) out, and its button is to the right of the a/t stick. Then there's the fact that she can be open, but it can be hard to tell what she wishes to convey or keep secret. It would be better if they (the rear aircon vents) were incorporated into the b-pillars. The aircon vents for rear occupants are at the base of the center console, parallel to passengers' lower shins. In contrast her Camry arch-rival has all windows equipped with the aforementioned feature. All windows have power-assisted side mirror folding, but only the front windows have one-touch/up-down power-assist. Apparently she's mostly concerned with what's up front, or those in the front. When it comes to what's inside, she does have a few quirks. You turn on the aircon using the large blower switch at the middle of the center dashboard, and turn it off via an "off" button near the driver's side aircon controls. For example, you turn on the radio via pushing down on a knob at the lower middle dashboard (below the CD slot), adjust the volume with the said knob, and fiddle with bass/treble/fader/balance inputs via a knob below the volume/on-off knob and the menu button to its right. At first glance the cabin looks complex (particularly the middle dashboard area), but all controls are logically placed and easy to see and reach. When you get to know what's makes her tick or what she's all about (read: what's inside), she's simple and straightforward. Some women just don't take criticism very well, especially when it comes to their derrière. The rear is similar to that of the current Toyota Camry, but no way did this writer tell that to her face. The whole front fascia is one big smile, albeit one with braces due to the look of the lower front grille. The headlight's flanks (where the headlights meet the beltline) are similar to the wing-tipped designs on the E60 BMW 5-Series. The full side profiles have a beltline and upper area reminiscent of the current model Mercedes Benz C-Class, while the rear quarter panel glass is similar to those on present-day BMW units (the so-called Hofmeister kink). When you approach her from any angle, you get the feeling that you've met her before. Knowing that he finally was able to tango with someone - or something (like an executive car, to be exact) - that got him smitten the first time he got to know her in early 2008, but given the only means of admission into her heart (P2.015 million), he'll settle for the fact that she will belong to someone else with the financial capacity and with the capability to treat her right (read: drive it hard, not just ride in it). In the same manner, that's how this writer felt the day after returning the 2009 Honda Accord to Honda Cars Philippines Inc.'s headquarters. But, at the same time hoping that she still finds happiness, even if it's never going to be with you." - dialogue from Hitch, where Albert Brennaman bemoans to Alex Hitchens regarding the hopelessness of dating socialite Allegra Cole "You know what it's like getting up every morning? Locate the dialer app and type in this code (*#06#) and your phone’s IMEI number will appear. How to solve the ‘not registered on network’ error on your Galaxy Note 8: Just don't go in expecting too much, and you won't be disappointed. I do think it's worth buying, but I'd have no problem recommending it as a rental (especially if you're a fan of the original). I don't accept it as a sequel up to the standards of the original Brother Bear, by its own merits, it's a decent movie. Closing comments: It might not sound like much, but this movie ends up to be more than the sum of its parts (not much though). I'm not quite sure who does the music in this (nobody immediately recognisable) and while the music is appropriate and fits in well, there's nothing memorable like "No Way Out" was for me. Music: Obviously no Phil Collins music this time around. Acting: With most of the returning characters are voiced by their original actors, Kenai's recasting stands out. While it's more than adequate (its pretty good) it just doesn't have the same flair as the original did (or some of the fancier effects). Art/Animation: This was probably the part which disappointed me the least. I'm probably one of the few who don't like Rutt and Tuke, although they didn't seem as bad this time around (probably because they had less time on screen and more to do, so less time to waste). It levels off, but it never reaches the quality what was in the original. The tiniest cubs in the audience might have fun, but grown-ups interest. Contains mild animated fight scenes and peril. While the original was deep and meaningful (or at least as can be for whats supposed to be a kids movie), this relies on a lot of cheap humour, particularly at the start. Brother Bear (2003) Reviewed by Matthew Leyland. Writing: To be honest, this probably disappointed me the most. Not a blatant rip-off of anything in particular, but its been done before. This, however, is your general "we think there's a writers strike on right now" copied story. Story: I've read reviews saying that the original's basic story was copied from other movies. Confession (partially animated) Muri the Squirrel. Deleted Scenes (with Introductions) Where's Koda. 'Paths of Discovery: The Making of Brother Bear '. if you don't like being sequels being reviewed solely compared to the original, you probably won't like my review. 2-Movie Collection with Brother Bear 2 Bonus Features: Audio Commentary by Rutt and Tuke. I went into this not expecting much, but I wished I was wrong. Let me just make this clear from the start: I love the original Brother Bear, but as a rule I despise direct-to-video sequels (there are exceptions though). Now fans believe Disney may have weirdly predicted that the world was going to be struck down by coronavirus and that everyone would need to isolate themselves to stay safe. The story sees her kept there so that the wicked Mother Gothel can use her magic golden hair – which stops her from aging – to keep her looking youthful forever. With The Simpsons correctly seen some of its predictions play out in real life – including Donald Trump becoming the US President.ĭisney’s modern version of Rapunzel saw the blonde beauty locked away in a tower for the first 18 years of her life. Remember, Disney is not the first to have potentially predicted the current global health pandemic. The supposed quarantine ultimately led to her finding her perfect man in life – so here’s hoping for a similar silver lining to the coronavirus outbreak. – More tweets arrived at the quick successor.įans are now calling into question whether Rapunzel is actually being shielded from an ongoing pandemic and the quarantine is actually for her own good, rather than the selfish needs of Mother Gothel. Brace yourself… That island was called “Corona”.” “The movie “Tangled” which featured Rapunzel (AKA The Queen of Quarantine) was a girl who was locked up by her overprotective mother, in a secluded tower on an island. “I saw an IG story that said Rapunzel was “quarantined” for 18 years by Mother Ethel and he said Google the name of the Kingdom in Tangled. Name of Kingdom in Tangled members of the public are still being urged to follow social distancing guidance and remain in their households as much as possible, leading many to draw comparisons to Name of Kingdom in Tangled a similar situation in the form of Disney’s #Tangled the film about a girl who is in forced isolation lives in a town called…Corona!” So, many restrictions still remain in place. Shrouded in a cape the Doctor visits a ship while holding a Dalek eyestalk to show his bravery, and that he comes in peace. The Doctor is among thousands of ships orbiting a planet after hearing a message being broadcast from it, a three-toned message that no-one can understand. Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his companion must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe. Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe's deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars - among them, the Eleventh Doctor. It's not a matter of counting the regenerations, but of counting the faces of the Time Lord that calls himself the Doctor." Nevertheless, writer Steven Moffat said in DWM 467 that the BBC marketing was also narratively correct: "I've been really, really quite careful about the numbering of the Doctors. This made the "Eleventh Doctor" the thirteenth life. Time, however, incremented the number again, explicitly stating, as mentioned above, that the aborted regeneration shown at the conclusion of The Stolen Earthand the beginning of Journey's End "counted". This had already been the case once The Night of the Doctor definitively showed the Eighth Doctor regenerating into the War Doctor. From one perspective, getting the Eleventh Doctor to the magic number thirteen meant that no BBC Wales incarnation could technically be the number under which they were marketed. The only way to do this, however, was to change some other continuity. Time was the first episode of Doctor Who produced by BBC Wales to choose a side, confirming that a "regeneration cycle" indeed consisted of just thirteen incarnations. But other stories, starting with The Deadly Assassin, set the limit to thirteen lives. Even Matt Smith's Doctor seemed to hint at this possibility in an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Some early episodes of the show had suggested the Doctor's lifespan was practically infinite. The necessity for this had previously been unclear. This is not only the first time that a new regeneration cycle has been given on screen but the depiction of a new regeneration cycle ensured that the programme would be able to continue and keep casting new actors in the role for potentially decades. However, the Doctor is granted a brand new regeneration cycle at the end of the story, drastically altering his fate. This episode confirmed that the Tenth Doctor's aborted regeneration in Journey's End did indeed use up a whole regeneration, and with the retroactive introduction of the War Doctor in between their Eighth and Ninth incarnations this meant that the Doctor had no more regenerations left, leaving the Eleventh Doctor as the thirteenth and final incarnation in his regeneration cycle. It also significantly aged the Doctor, establishing that the Eleventh Doctor had lived much longer than any other incarnation.īut it was especially important to the history of the programme because it addressed an issue that hadn't been talked about in the series since its return in 2005: the limited amount of regenerations in a Time Lord's regeneration cycle. As such, it was a unique attempt at narrative conclusion for storylines running through the entirety of a particular incarnation's tenure. It especially tried to give final relevance to the Silence, the cracks in time, Trenzalore and the salvation of Gallifrey. The show's 800th episode - and the last produced by Marcus Wilson - it served as a conclusion to the entirety of the Smith era. It was Matt Smith's final regular appearance as the series lead, but unusually it did not formally introduce his successor, since Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor had already been seen in the previous episode. The 79 women who settled with the hospitals are among scores of former patients who filed civil lawsuits over their alleged abuse by Hadden. The Time of the Doctor was the 2013 Christmas Special of Doctor Who. He was required to surrender his medical license but was not sentenced to prison. Hadden was convicted in 2016 in New York state court following a guilty plea to a criminal sex act in the third degree and forcible touching. They said they supported the women who are part of it for their choices, but, “We intend to fully expose the institutional coverup that resulted in hundreds, if not thousands, of women being sexually abused by Robert Hadden over his 20+ year tenure at Columbia University." Among his accusers was Evelyn Yang, the wife of the former presidential candidate and New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang, who went public last year with allegations that Hadden abused her when she was his patient in 2012.īut Yang, along with accuser Marissa Hoechstetter, issued a statement saying they were not part of the settlement and blasting the university. Donkey Kong is considered one of the most popular and iconic characters in video game history. While the 1980s games' Donkey Kong and the modern Donkey Kong share the same name, the manual for Donkey Kong Country and subsequent games portray the former as Cranky Kong, the latter's grandfather, with the exception of Donkey Kong 64, in which Cranky is depicted as his father. This version of the character persists as the main one up to today. The Donkey Kong Country subseries was launched in 1994 with a new Donkey Kong as the protagonist (although several installments focus on his friends Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong instead). The original Donkey Kong first appeared as the title character and antagonist of the eponymous 1981 game, a platformer by Nintendo, which would lead to the Donkey Kong series.
The biggest disadvantage is that although there are lots and lots of things that I can do using them, I can't do everything with them. The main advantage of making changes via buffs is that should the mod be removed, the buff just goes away and the affected dinos just go back to being completely vanilla again. There are lots of changes I make via buffs that many other mods needlessly create whole new dinos to be able to do. Buffs are relatively lightweight, easily added, easy to work with, and can be used to make a wide range of changes to dinos.
